Today is the first rest day for the Tour de Fleece 2016 and I'm exhausted (just kidding - sort of). For those of you who haven't heard about this event, it's a fibre event that runs concurrently with the Tour de France, this year from July 2 - 24th. Spinners spin on the same days that the cyclists ride and even participate in Challenge Days. There are two rest days in the Tour de France and we don't spin on those days. Phew! Sugar Plum Shawl by Mina Philipp
I'm so pleased to present another test knit shawl. This is my third (the second is a secret test so I will post about that when the pattern is released). I was honoured to be able to test this pattern for Mina Philipp from the Knitting ExPat You Tube podcast. Toronto Knitters Frolic – Classes & Podcaster Meetup

I've been following Bristol on Instagram for awhile now, and one of the things I love most about her feed is that when she posts photos of herself, she ...
Toronto Knitters Frolic 2016 – Acquisitions
Last weekend was the annual Toronto Knitters Frolic, put on by the Toronto Knitters Guild. What an amazing event! As usual, the venue was the beautiful Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. The international guest instructor this year was the delightful Bristol Ivy. We are blessed in Toronto to have a vast array of talented instructors living locally, and I felt fortunate to attend classes with Bristol, as well as Stephanie Pearl McPhee and Kate Atherley. I will talk about my classes in a later ...
Then Comes Spring by Francoise Danoy

The shawl turned out so beautifully that I knew this would be the kick in the behind I needed to finally get this blog up and running. This is a crescent shaped shawl with a leaf lace pattern for the body and a garter stitch border. Here is the link to my project page. It was tough to get a nice full shot of the shawl ...
